Truly a Man’s Bestfriend

The saying from Jerome is real true. That’s the precious thing about dogs. I do that all the time, sometimes my brothers and my Mother tell me that I look stupid! Hahaha. I even call my dog “my baby” and told my Mother that he is her grandson and a nephew to my brothers! Hahaha

Ok fine, I can’t deny the fact that I love dogs. I’m a huge fan of dogs ever since. I guess that’s one reason why I spent a thousand pesos just to have one lovable dog.

My dog is Pochi. Why Pochi? Well, a week before I fetched my new dog on a clinic I asked my friends to find me a name. There were so many suggestions but among those, one name attracted me. And yes, that’s “Pochi”.

My Pochi is a male of course and a spitz. He’s 8 months now and still getting sweeter everyday. He may doesn’t know how to sit, jump, dance or whatever tricks. But there’s one thing that I’m proud of him. When I told him “kiss pochi..?”, guess what he does? He will then lick my face and most of the time aiming for my lips! That’s what makes him special to me.

I consider my dog as my bestfriend because, whenever I need someone to talk to or to hug, he’s there as always. He never says no for every thing I do (oh well, except for bathing!).

The things that Pochi likes are, feeding time, strolling around, licking/kissing, biting my fingers (jokingly), cuddling, brushing his neck hairs, playing around and of course kissing his forehead. But, the very one thing that he hates is bathing time! Whoa! I really find it hard bathing Pochi. L I already did it many times, but it seems like, he will never care of his image. That’s why I’m just thinking that maybe he’s not that vain to his looks. He never cares whether he smells bad or not. But I really need to fix him though. Of course I want to make him presentable as always. J

But, uhm, yes, I know he won’t stay longer compare to us, that’s the saddest part. That’s why in every way, I make sure that I see him everyday and spend even a short time with him. Seeing my Pochi makes my day complete as always. He’s my friend and my baby. I know my friend, once told me not to stay very close to him, ‘cause if that day will come where he needs to leave this world, that will make me cry and will miss him dearly for sure. Well, it’s a fact. I can’t avoid that to happen. When that time comes, I will surely cry. But then, the memories that he spent with me will last forever.

I am ready to face the day when he needs to go. That’s why I make sure that everyday, I go to his dog house and spend time with him.
