This afternoon, me and my brother watched a movie of Adam Sandler’s Click. I’ve seen this movie once, but unfinished. When we watched I tend to change the channel for I’ve seen some scenes already, plus I’m waiting for American Idol. My brother would then look at me and gave me a mad face..hehehe
So we watched it till the end. I never expect that this movie is a comedy with a drama twist. How many movies of Adam Sandler that I’ve seen? Hmmm 4, I guess. Almost comedy genre. But this time, it’s all different, still comedy, but the ending is so meaningful. Or should I say the whole story itself is great!
The story as a whole speaks about giving value to the family. That we’ll give our job a second priority. In the movie all Michael (Adam Sandler) was thinking is how to be successful with his job. That he wanted a universal control for him to do what things he wants to stop, skip, rewind, forward, pause…anything that a remote control could do. So when he got a chance to have it through Morty (angel of dead:played my Christopher Walkin), he finds himself the satisfaction that he wants. He was enjoying it, without knowing that each time he fast forward everyday of his life, he’s losing.
To cut the story short…He found himself in th middle of nowhere, where the remote has if one feature that Michael didn’t know, the use of Auto Forward all by itself. Until he reaches his old age. He lost his wife and his family.
The Hospital part (and my favorite part) is when his son told Michael that he’s leaving his wife because he’ll be out of the country for work. He then realize that he needs to stop his son form leaving because he’s so afraid that what happened to him will happen to his son’s life. Evenif his whole body barely moves, he still force his self to catch up with his son. He walked down the road seeing his son leaving, calling his son son without hearing him. When he falls down, lying on the road, his son was surprised seeing his Dad. He walked to help his father and together with the rest of his family. Dying, he then whispered to his son.. “No matter what happened, family first”.
Luckily, everything went to normal when he found out the everything were just a dream, a lesson he needs to learn and a chance for him to change his beliefs
It almost made me cry. But I tend to stop it..hehe. Just don’t want my brother to see me.
What I like about the story is that, the realization of a person that money isn’t everything. Yes, we want to be successful, but nothing’s more important than the happiness we experience from our family. Life is too short…

The good thing about his character is that he had a nightmare about it and that he could change his actions for a better future.
It may happen to someone in real life, but most of us doesn’t have a second chance to turn back time and fix some things.
Everyone will have a chance to outgrow their immature mind, in the movie that was his … in reality … we will have a lot of sufferings to overcome to face life as it is …
Right on Babsy!
