Since I was young, I used to know Santa with his “ho, ho, ho” thing. As a kid, when I hear that, the smile is all over my face. I’m sure I want to see that to my nieces and nephews.

But there’s this news from Australia that errrrrr..trying to stop Santa for saying “Ho, Ho, Ho”!?!

Santas in Australia’s largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas’s traditional “ho ho ho” greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.

Sydney’s Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say “ha ha ha” instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.

One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use “ho ho ho” because it could frighten children and was too close to “ho”, a US slang term for prostitute.

“Gimme a break,” said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids.

“We are talking about little kids who do not understand that “ho, ho, ho” has any other connotation and nor should they,” she told the Telegraph.

“Leave Santa alone.”

A local spokesman for the US-based Westaff recruitment firm said it was “misleading” to say the company had banned Santa’s traditional greeting and it was being left up to the discretion of the individual Santa himself.

Right! Just leave him alone! OK?

Last Saturday, I watched the movie Maid in Manhattan. Sure I watched it before. But then watching it again made me realized some things. The movie is plain, simple, but the message is something to be consider. It is basically about taking/giving second chance to somebody who makes mistakes to you.

In the movie, Jennifer Lopez’s character Marissa pretended to be somebody else. Fate does exist, when Ralph Fiennes’s character Christopher Marshall, a Politician met Marissa who pretended to be high-profiled Caroline. Christopher believed that Caroline really is the person he is with. But lately, everything were revealed. But despite of what happened, of all the lies that Marissa did, Christopher still follow his heart and never mind what people might think. He gave Marissa a second chance and so as Marissa gave it another try. And there you go..happy ending! ^_^

I do believe in giving chances to a lot of things. There were times when people around me made mistakes and I got so mad, but then, I am not closing my door to them. It’s pretty common to get mad and feel the pain for couple of days, weeks, months or even years! But then, they are till part of me.

I give chance to my family and friends and even to my enemy. I know that my pride is very very high but I have reasons why I forgive people who caused me pain. It’s so usual for me and my big brothers to fight. Not that physically (Never!), instead verbally. Most of the times, since I am very emotional, I get lost and will try to pick up the pieces and start all over again. See? Even if they are the ones who made mistakes but then, I tend to forgive and go on. I also give chances to my friends. Oh and I cant even count how many friends that I fought with! Lol. Well, all of them are part of my past and they are all forgiven and sure I’ll give them second chance.

Do you ever wonder why most men die before us women? Here’s why:

In humans and many other animals, males age faster and die earlier than females.

New research suggests this might happen because of intense competition over sex.

Scientists compared monogamous species with polygynous species, in which each male mates with many females. Males in monogamous species, such as the barnacle goose or the dwarf mongoose, naturally compete less over females than ones in polygynous species, such as the red-winged blackbird or the savannah baboon.

After investigating about 20 different vertebrate species, researchers Tim Clutton-Brock and Kavita Isvaran at the University of Cambridge in England found the more polygynous a species was, the more likely their males were to age faster and die earlier than females.

The researchers explained that as competition among males for sex grows more intense, each male on average has less time to breed. As such, there is no strong incentive to evolve longevity among males in such species.

Since men age faster and die earlier than women, these findings suggest that “at the time when current human physiology evolved, perhaps around the late Stone Age, polygynous breeding was the norm,” Clutton-Brock told LiveScience. “Of course, this doesn’t provide any justification for polygyny or promiscuity now for males.”

Clutton-Brock and Isvaran detailed their findings online Oct. 17 in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B.

I do notice this one in our family. My Granda died first than my Gradma, my Uncle died few years ago due to Kidney disease and some for most of my relatives men do die first too.

I am expecting this to happen. There were rumors years ago that Spice Girls felt bad and did comments to Westlife when Irish Boyband went number 1 on UK leaving Spice Girls behind. Now, the heat is on once again when Mel C stated a comment about their boyband rival, which I bet they are scared that Westlife will top again their comeback single/album. Oh well, I am a woman but, I love this Lads, so I go with Westlife! :D

Westlife have slammed the Spice Girls for living in the past, and insist they will destroy the girl group in their upcoming chart battle.

The Irish boy band – made up of Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan – have dismissed Mel C for boasting, “Seriously, who would you put your money on”, when asked about the two group’s upcoming chart battle, insisting past success counts for nothing.

“No one could compete with the Spice Girls 10 years ago,” Mark said. “But actually we competed with them eight years ago and we won! We are not living in the past.”
