September is a memorable day for us Filipinos. Many of my country men suffered from cold, hunger, losing homes and the worst, losing their loved ones.

I could still recall…

Friday night when the rain was still going on…Together with my friend, Tata  before going home, we headed to the SM Supermarket Makati to buy groceries. We didn’t even had intention to buy them for the preparation because of the coming typhoon “Ondoy”. We bought some rice cakes, loaf bread, sandwich spread, canned goods, juices, etc. The rain didn’t stop that night that whole day and Tata decided to sleep in our apartment since she lives in Cavite, a more than an hour of travel from Makati City.

I could still remember playing and walking in the rain that night.

However, without any idea, the next day went tragical.

I admit, I HATE exercise!

I’ve read this article a while ago and decided to share to you.

New research about the benefits of exercise is running counter to the conventional health wisdom we have been taught. We know exercise burns calories, which is necessary for weight loss, but it also makes us hungry. And what do we do when we are hungry? We eat. If we’ve just clocked a few miles on the treadmill, what do we do? We give ourselves license to eat whatever we like. The problem is not that we’re eating, but rather the hunger that comes from exercise may be leading us to consume more calories than what we just burned off. Therefore negating our good intentions of creating a calorie deficit in order to lose weight.

Leaving health researchers to now ask, “Is exercise really needed for weight loss?”

The answer may surprise you.

John Cloud, the author of this Time magazine cover story cites a breakthrough study in which overweight women were assigned to four different exercise groups, three of which exercised and one did not. The results were eye-opening: The women who exercised for six months with a personal trainer did not lose significantly more weight than those women who did not exercise.

My wait is finally over! I finally watched my favorite David Cook performing live! Even though me and my friend Joy planned to watch the concert closer by getting Gold ticket we ended up buying the Silver one. The tickets were sold out and there were so many people!

David Archuleta was the first one to perform. I only knew two of his songs.;)) He’s really small and cute. He’s a real teenager and has a wonderful smile. He always drink water right after every song. LOL I really like the way he sang Angels playing along with the keyboard. He has the voice of an angel..heehee

After singing his songs, David Archuleta made an exit. And while waiting for David Cook, there was a firework display. It was breathtaking!

Then there’s David Cook!

OMG! He’s so handsome and smiles a lot! His first song was  The Word I Know The World I Know. His rendetion was great of course. :D I then sang his hits including Always Be My Baby, Light On, Come Back to Me, Avalance and many others. He also sang Straight Ahead from his Analog Heart album (his first album). Joy and I was a bit disappointed because we expected him to sing our favorite “Lie” song. But it’s okay. :D

His last song was Declaration where he dedicated to his brother. At the end of his song, David Archuleta joined him.

Overall, the experience was great!

We wish any of them will come back. Joy and I then promised that the next time David Cook will perform once again, we will finally be at the closest! :D

We love David Cook! and admire David Archuleta. These two gentlemen are so sweet to us Filipinos. :D

Till next time…

Here are some of the photos taken from my k810i cellphone. :P

Wow I couldn’t believe that it’s been almost 2 months since the last time I updated this blog. It was a blast i’m telling you and I was so very busy. It’s not that easy to be away from my family and living independently (somehow). It’s hard to be away especially to those that I love the most! My nieces and my Pochi! Huhuhu. I’ll be home to get you very soon Poch!

I know those who are close to me knew what I’m talking about, well,to those who didn’t know, I just moved from a small City to the Capitol Capital City of my Country. Yes, working and living in Manila that is. I’m done with familiarizing and adjusting somehow. So to cut the story short, here are the things so far and are memorable for me that had happened here in Manila:

  • Been into Malls that I’ve only seen on TV before. LOL
  • First time riding on a bus on a daily basis.
  • I hated pollution in my hometown but need to face loads of it here. Grrr
  • Cook my own meals everyday. I miss my Sis-in-law and my Mother. :(
  • Just had my most embarrassing moment few days ago. :( ( (I’ll post the story here)
  • And last but not the least. Watched my favorite legendary band. ERASERHEADS concert Live! (I’ll post my experience here) :D :D :D

That’s it for the moment, more updates to come…

Thanks Mayu for the visit and reminding me.. Haha
