New year couldn’t be as happy when not shared with friends and of course with family. This year, though we are not that complete, still we manage to celebrate it as happy as it is. Foods are everywhere, i guess, that’s the reason why many people are having problem with their weights. Haha! Me? Well, I can see my tummy getting bigger… ^_^

I celebrated new year with my family beside me. We watched TV while waiting for the count down to 2008. About an hour to go, i went to the kitchen and arranged the table for foods. We didn’t have a lot of foods to share though. I think we had like 8 or 9 different kinds of foods.

When 12 mid night came, i could hear fireworks/firecrackers and been hearing them everywhere! We all have smiles on our faces as we hope for a happy, safe and prosperous new year to live. Another year, another lives for all of us!

Happy New Year everyone! ^_^

Celebrating Christmas is something that we treasure most. This Christmas, parties were everywhere. I guess that’s the reason why i really had fun and and enjoy a lot. But of all those parties i’ve been, spending Christmas with family is the best! So, this Christmas, my cousin decided to give us, each, a personalized T-shirts.  That’s Green, Red, Yellow and Blue. I hosted the party and had a lot of games for adults and for the kids. We really had a great time together. We’ve been doing this for years and wish that on the years ahead, we will still celebrate this way! ^_^

My Mother….A Lot Like Me…

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007
Stranger: “Bata ka ni Nory?” (Are you Nory’s daugther?)

Me: “Huo, panu mo nahambal?” (Yes, how did you say so?)

Stranger: “Kay pareho kamo tusra.” (Cause you look like her.)

That’s what i always hear when people i don’t know ask me. I often hear that when i am on the street or riding on a PUJ. And I’ve been asked that question over and over again. *Sigh*  Sometimes, I just smile and nod. It’s quite so tiring that i am just being recognized just because i look like my mother. Well, yes, it’s not my fault to look like her, but i want to have my own identity please. haha Sound Stupid eh?

Naaah, seriously, even if i try to deny it, but 9 out of 10 people will say that i look like my Nanay (mother). It makes me smile every time they say, “you have your mother’s features”.  My brother would tease me “See your self 10 years from now and sure you will look like Nanay”. Funny cause they keep on telling me that for so many times. Yes, I know, ok fine, I look like Nanay and please not just physically but also emotionally and attitudes too.

For what i noticed, living 23 years of my life with my Nanay beside me, i can see my self to her. There’s no sense of denying cause why will I? I’m her daughter, her only daughter. Who else am i gonna be?

I love my Nanay and I am so proud of her. I’ve witnessed her cry, struggle, work hard and most especially her happiest times. I’ve been with her in her times of trouble and even the downiest part of her life.

I am so proud to be her daughter. I know we are not living in a luxury life, don’t have enough money to spend, but i know we are full of love and care to each other. Nobody can take her away from me.

Two Too Beautiful Nieces

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

I am a proud Aunt of two very pretty/beautiful nieces. I am blessed to have the both of them. Well, aside from responsible of giving them their respective names, I am very supportive and loving to these cuties. Kiana Claire is the eldest (5 years old) and Kimberly Cate (7 moths old) is the youngest. Both of them are daughters of my eldest brother.

I love to see both of them everyday. I like to nourish them and teach them everything that they need to learn. Kiana, is now the most intelligent and ranks number one in her class, which make my whole family very proud and happy, especially my mother and father.

There’s always something that these two cuties show us everyday. I know there will still be a long years for them to be mature enough. But, I’m always here for them. I’ll always be their loving and ever supportive Aunt. And here for my soon to be nieces or nephews!

It’s good be called Tita, it’s cool to be an Aunt!
